May Meeting: Community Organization - Food Bank of the Rockies

  • Virtual Meeting USA (map)

Our next virtual meeting will be held on May 25, 2021 from 11:30am - 1pm. Our presenter for May's meeting is Lorena Toland, Vice President of People and Culture at the Food Bank of the Rockies. Lorena has been serving the community through Food Bank of the Rockies for over two years, with a prior background of over 12 years in Hospitality. Food Bank of the Rockies play a key role in Colorado, as they are the largest hunger relief organization in the Rocky Mountain region. They distribute more than a million meals every week on average. But for those in need, they provide more than just food. They give hope. They open a future.

Lorena will begin by taking a look inside Food Bank of the Rockies and how they help communities, as well as resources available to those in need, including any employees within our hotels. Team building, employee retention, and community engagement are some of the benefits you’ll see from volunteering as an organization. Volunteer opportunities are widely available; they benefit your local community and may even be a resource opportunity for your staff. Be inspired to find the right volunteer opportunities and learn how to incorporate them as wellness initiatives and a training tool that help your organization thrive.
